It’s my first Gail McHugh read and I loved her writing style and the way she rendered such a story with so much conflicts. She has lost her mother and throughout all of the devastation that took place with that, Dillon, her boyfriend, was there to see her through it all, to take care of her, take care of the funeral expenses and arrangements, you name it, he did it making Emily forever indebted collode him, at least in her mind.

Dillon manipulated her at every turn because she allowed it.
