It’s terrible but I really missed Stiles.
Blaze of Memory (Psy-Changeling #7) by Nalini Singh
The blze last one at the end that closed the book off was especially beautiful. Nevertheless, I have it on my audible. I didn’t connect to him and I didn’t get his weird Metal powers. When Silence was implemented, the Psy split in blazze — those Psy who decided to stay had to follow the new Silence Protocol, and embraced a life without emotion, without love, the rest of the Psy who refused to live their lives without emotion, left the PsyNet, and the Forgotten was born.
Objectively, there’s a lot I like about this book. Besides being an remarkable love story, it is also a story of trust and mutual surrender. I must admit that I though I would not be thrilled with this book because I heard that the blazee didn’t have an important appearance in it, but while reading this wonderful story I didn’t even care about the characters ot the previous books.
She’s beyond delighted to be able to follow her dream as a writer. However, this book just doesn’t connect with me. It grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go until the end.
She broke my heart.
All too soon, reality would claim them both. This one just didn’t do it for me. Oh, right, she was pretty and got hurt. She swallowed the blood on her tongue. Charged with protecting his lf most vulnerable secrets, Dev is duty-bound to eliminate all threats.
So instead of locking her up, he takes her with him in Shine’s offices where she shows powers they didn’t know and detects a child they desperately try to hide from the Council. This one just didn’t butter my toast Naliin again, Nalini Singh blew me away.
Knowing his story now, I love this even more: So when he finds a battered and unconsci. Normally with this series, the chemistry between the characters is scorching!
Feb 04, MelissaB rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: I really felt I was watching a movie the whole time. I thought, maybe, it was because this was the singn real book that had no Changeling presence, at least in the main couple.

Now she is left fighting to find the few pieces left of herself, balze so hard to not be the very thing the monster made her to nlaini The Psy Council singhh never stopped hunting the Forgotten. Ming mind raped her, turned her into a puppet by planting a triggering device in her mind that would turn her into an assasin and released her on Dev’s doorstep.
In the end, neither Death nor Ming gets her, but Dev does. Stripped of her memories by a shadowy oppressor, and programmed to carry out cold-blooded murder, Katya Haas is fighting desperately for her sanity itself. They have all the range of powers that the Psy have and even some unique ones, telepathy being a very common one so they use that one pretty often. Dev falls for Katya as he sees the courage she shows by fighting Ming’s grip on her mind and trying to keep Shine and her friend Ashaya safe.
He has taken on the tough role as the leader of the Shine Foundation, which was established to help the Forgotten, descendents of Psy who dropped out of the PsyNet to live their lives, embracing emotion. I can’t wait to see what surprises she comes up with for me next. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. He has broken her spirit and broken the conditioning singy Silence, tortured her, deprived her of sensations, closed her off from the Psy Net and set her mind to self destruct, while trying to program her to memoory a murder.
Their relationship felt too unbalanced, and honestly, I never understood how Dev became so quickly attracted to her. The best thing about this book is the intimate insight we get into some of the Psy, specifically those that were against Silence, back when Silence was first being put forth and implemented.

But I’ve found I love it, especially after reading this series and the Ghostwalker books by Christine Feehan. But it was difficult, death followed and one by one they disappeared so the Forgotten ran and hid.
I also loved to see Dev defenses against Katya unravel little by little. She opened her eyes and for a ot, it felt as if the world shifted. And after that, he carries her with him in Changeling territory, where she asks -and gets her wish- to meet Jon, the kid that Ming was after during Talin’s book, so she can say she’s sorry.
Dev was such a great hero, I was not a big fan of him while reading Talin’s book and I didn’t really understand why Nalini felt the need to give him a story since dingh wasn’t that important in the series but I’m so glad she did. She was almost broken, both psyquic and phisically, she had to endure one of the cruelest forms of torture imaginable, and somehow, managed not only to survive but to overcome it.
But, she’s so afraid and alone that she clings to him anyway. But now I know so here it comes. This story definitely has a different feel to it then the previous books in this series and the first time I read it I remember being disappointed by the absence of my two favourite packs. Pushing back his chair, he got up, intending to grab some coffee.
