Objectively, there’s a lot I like about this book. Besides being an remarkable love story, it is also a story of trust and mutual surrender. I must admit that I though I would not be thrilled with this book because I heard that the blazee didn’t have an important appearance in it, but while reading this wonderful story I didn’t even care about the characters ot the previous books.

She’s beyond delighted to be able to follow her dream as a writer. However, this book just doesn’t connect with me. It grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go until the end.

Their relationship felt too unbalanced, and honestly, I never understood how Dev became so quickly attracted to her. The best thing about this book is the intimate insight we get into some of the Psy, specifically those that were against Silence, back when Silence was first being put forth and implemented.

But I’ve found I love it, especially after reading this series and the Ghostwalker books by Christine Feehan. But it was difficult, death followed and one by one they disappeared so the Forgotten ran and hid.

I also loved to see Dev defenses against Katya unravel little by little. She opened her eyes and for a ot, it felt as if the world shifted. And after that, he carries her with him in Changeling territory, where she asks -and gets her wish- to meet Jon, the kid that Ming was after during Talin’s book, so she can say she’s sorry.

Dev was such a great hero, I was not a big fan of him while reading Talin’s book and I didn’t really understand why Nalini felt the need to give him a story since dingh wasn’t that important in the series but I’m so glad she did.
